Dear Friends in Christ,

What a wonderful experience it has been to be pastor of St. Sebastian Parish. For more than 18 years, we have gathered together as God’s family each Sunday to share and renew our faith. Yet, as we look to the future, we are now called to renew our faith and commitment to the building and strengthening of our parish family.

St. Sebastian, alongside our sister parishes in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, is participating in the Called to Renew campaign. Together with more than 5 million faithful brothers and sisters across Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties, we are called to pledge our commitment to ensure our local Church remains strong and vibrant for future generations. This is an extraordinary opportunity to live out our call to serve as Christ’s disciples. To us, the future now opens itself.

Over the years, I have always been able to count on your generosity to meet our various needs. By the grace of God, our parish continues to exist because of this support and generosity. Because of your generous response to God’s grace, we continue to be a vibrant faith community and a beacon of Christ’s love, recipients of a rich and lasting inheritance handed down to us by men and women of vision. Though the passage of time has seen much change and many different faces representing the Body of Christ, the present remains a reflection of the love of those who served us so well.

Called to Renew gives us a tremendous opportunity to once again come together as a family. Through Called to Renew, St. Sebastian will be able to address both our most pressing needs and wish list projects. I enthusiastically invite you to be a part of this initiative which seeks to strengthen the parishes, and elevate the ministries, of our Archdiocese.
