Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
It is with hopeful anticipation that I announce the launch of Called to Renew at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. The Called to Renew campaign is taking place over the next five years in all parishes of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and promises to help renew our Church and provide for its future.
Each parish has been given a target goal for the campaign. Our goal is $1,300,000, of which 50 percent will remain in our parish to refurbish and upgrade our facilities and support our ministries. You will find more details about this on the following page. All contributions over our goal will stay entirely in the parish.
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton has a rich history of generosity. Our predecessors built our church, parish center, hall, religious education office and classrooms. Now it is our time to step up and do our part. Called to Renewis a wonderful opportunity to renew and strengthen our Church and to ensure that we pass on a vibrant and healthy parish to our children and our children’s children.
Please prayerfully discern how you can generously support this campaign. I encourage you to consider making a five-year pledge, which will help us reach our goal and renew our parish. I am amazed and gratified at how our community always works together to meet needs that arise and trust that you will do what you can to make this campaign a success.
We entrust our Called to Renew campaign to the intercessions of our Blessed Mother and our patroness, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Thank you in advance for your faithful and generous support.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.

Parish Needs
Hall Renovations
Hosting multiple meetings and ministries in our hall is only possible because of the partitions that divide the back space into four sections. We will replace these deteriorating partitions as well as install new flooring in the hall and a new stove in the kitchen.
Scholarship Funds for Religious Education and Confirmation/Youth Ministry
Establishing these scholarship funds will allow us to assist families of religious education students that have difficulty paying basic fees during the next five years, as well as help with the cost of retreats and other programs for our parish youth.
Church Doors and Pews
Sanding and revarnishing our custom-made front entry doors and refurbishing the pews will beautify and extend the life of these important church elements.
Classrooms & Technologies
Upgrading the technology in our classrooms and parish center will allow us to use the latest resources for serving parishioners and teaching religious education. We will replace the chalkboards with whiteboards, install a computer projector in every classroom, have laptops available for classroom use, and update the computers and network.
Ongoing Support for our Ministries to the Poor
Establishing this fund will provide support for parish ministries to the poor, including the St. Vincent de Paul Society and our Homeless Coalition, for the next five years.
Energy Efficiency
Exploring the benefits of solar power and LED lighting may significantly improve the energy efficiency of our church and other parish facilities. We will move forward with recommended installations after thoroughly investigating the advantages.
Endowment Fund for Adult Continuing Formation
Establishing this endowment fund will enable us to sponsor speakers and programs for the enrichment of our parish adults over the next five years.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
