Our Parish Goal

Our Parish Receives

To renew our parish and strengthen ministries.
The original doors and windows will be replaced with new retrofit, energy-efficient models.
The four restrooms for the church and school will be completely remodeled, including new toilets, sinks and paint.
The parish hall serves as both our parish hall and the school gym. For some time, our dream has been to remodel this much-used space. We will upgrade and renovate the parish hall, such as with a new ceiling, restrooms, and air conditioning.
A rainy-day fund will ensure we are able to meet future maintenance needs, such as repaving the parking lot and replacing building roofs.
A portion of our funds will support Movement for a Better World, a program which provides food, clothing and care for those in need and the most vulnerable in our community.
One of our goals here at St. Joseph is to provide lifelong learning opportunities for everyone. We will invest in adult faith formation through this fund, which will provide ongoing support for adults and youth who wish to continue exploring their relationship with Christ.
The church pews are showing their age. Many are starting to crack, and some kneelers are broken. The cost to repair them is about the same as purchasing new. Replacing all of the pews and chairs in the church will make for a more comfortable worship experience.
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.

Embracing our mission to be a community of praise, worship, and witness, Called to Renew recognizes the vital role of parishes in the day-to- day life of a vibrant Church and is dedicated to meeting their needs.
As Christians, we are called to meet the spiritual and temporal needs of others. Called to Renew provides us with an extraordinary opportunity to expand and enhance our ministries to the most vulnerable among us, so we may walk with the sick and dying as well as with the victims and perpetrators of violent crimes and their families.
The future of our Church is strengthened when men hear and answer the Lord’s call to serve as his shepherds. The Archdiocese is committed to vocations and the formation of our seminarians and clergy, so they may minister with joyful hearts in the years ahead.
Our mission to live in greater communion with God and the Church is carried out through our parish and diocesan schools, religious education and faith formation programs, and our presence on college campuses throughout Southern California.
