To renew our parish and strengthen ministries.
Our much-used church pews are beginning to show their age. Many pews are cracking, and several kneelers are broken. We will refinish all of the pews and repair the kneelers to provide a more comfortable worship experience.
The stained glass windows in the church allow the beauty of sunlight to illuminate our worship space. Depending on the time of day, the effect can be quite remarkable. Repairing and restoring our stained glass windows will return them to their original luster.
The floor tiles at the rear of the church and in front of the pews are damaged and need to be replaced. We will either repair or replace the cracked tiles and then re-polish all of the tiles.
Safe, affordable childcare for our children is one of our community’s greatest needs. We will renovate and dedicate a room to serve as a childcare area, which will be available for use during weekend Masses as well as throughout the week.
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.

As Christians, we are called to meet the spiritual and temporal needs of others. Called to Renew provides us with an extraordinary opportunity to expand and enhance our ministries to the most vulnerable among us, so we may walk with the sick and dying as well as with the victims and perpetrators of violent crimes and their families.
The future of our Church is strengthened when men hear and answer the Lord’s call to serve as his shepherds. The Archdiocese is committed to vocations and the formation of our seminarians and clergy, so they may minister with joyful hearts in the years ahead.
Our mission to live in greater communion with God and the Church is carried out through our parish and diocesan schools, religious education and faith formation programs, and our presence on college campuses throughout Southern California.
