Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
In 1923, St. Vincent de Paul Parish was established and given to the Vincentian priests and brothers, who have since cared for the buildings and the parishioners following the charism of our founder, St. Vincent de Paul: to follow Jesus Christ, evangelizer of the poor. Throughout these many years, our parish has been home to many different peoples, from western Europeans to Central Americans. For all this time, our church and school have served us well. However, the time has come to repair and improve our buildings so they better serve everyone.
Today, we are happy to announce the Called to Renew archdiocesan capital campaign, which will allow us to make the necessary repairs and improvements that our parish needs to better serve you.
The goal for our parish is $530,000, of which 50 percent will be used to address the needs outlined on the next page. That means we get to keep $265,000 to address our own needs. We will also retain 100 percent of the funds we collect over our goal, which is an amazing opportunity for our parish.
To reach our goal, we are hoping every family will make a gift from their heart. We know that making a pledge now, in a time of financial insecurity, is challenging. In light of that, we are asking you to make a sacrificial pledge. Before making your pledge, please take some time in prayer to reflect on all of the gifts God has given you and consider how you can participate in St. Vincent’s ministries.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.

Parish Needs
Church Sound System
When people come to Mass in our
beautiful church, our sound system
limits their engagement. Installing
a new system will allow everyone
to fully participate in our liturgical
celebrations.
Exterior Painting
The exteriors of the church and school
have not been painted in many years. The
paint is now faded and peeling, leaving
little protection from the brutal southern
California sun. Repainting these buildings
will help preserve their unique beauty.
Church Air Conditioning
Our air conditioning system is more than 40 years old. As the high temperatures
seem to rise faster and last longer every year, we need to invest in an air
conditioning system that will protect our congregation from extreme heat.
Installing a new air conditioning system will help moderate the temperature in
the church more efficiently and make our worship experience more comfortable.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
