Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
As an active and involved parishioner, you are aware of the many blessings we have to be grateful for at St. Mary. I am truly blessed to be serving in my tenth year as your pastor.
I am pleased to announce our parish’s participation in Called to Renew. Archbishop Gomez has called us to renewal — not just of resources, but a spiritual renewal as well. This historic effort will provide much-needed funding for parishes throughout the Archdiocese, including St. Mary and our three surrounding missions of Our Lady of the Desert in Littlerock, Acton-Agua Dulce, and the St. John Paul II in Lake Los Angeles. Ultimately, we may receive more from the Archdiocesan-wide campaign than we put into it.
Each parish has been given a goal for the campaign. The goal for our parish is $1,285,000. Fifty percent of the funds we raise up to our goal will remain in our parish, as well as 100 percent of the funds we collect over goal. If we are successful, we will have $642,500 to direct toward beginning and building up a new youth group with full-time youth minister and assisting our three mission communities.
As your pastor, I am asking every parish family to make a gift from the heart. Pledges may be fulfilled over a five-year period and will allow us the best opportunity to reach our goal. As I am asking you to make this sacrifice, I, as your pastor, will also make a sacrificial pledge. Before you decide, please prayerfully consider the generosity God has shown you and the importance of the mission you have been given.
We entrust this campaign to the intercession of our parish patron, Our Blessed Mother Saint Mary, Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. Thank you in advance for you faithful support!

Parish Needs
Youth Ministry Endowment
Pope Francis has placed great importance on the need to enhance youth ministry,
as the teenage years are when many decide whether to commit to the Church.
Creating an endowment will sustain a youth ministry program for the parish and
missions that will best serve our young people.
Buildings for Each Mission
It is important for our family to grow in unity, and we believe that is best
expressed through the advancement of our missions, which are all unique and
integral to our community. Each mission will receive $100,000 from this campaign
to create or improve their own worship buildings.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
