Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
In 1957, a handful of families embarked on a historic effort — the founding of
St. Didacus Parish.
It is now time to build upon the foundation our founders entrusted to us. With God’s grace, we have grown from a small faith community into a welcoming parish of more than 5,000 families. We are a vibrant, active, and dynamic community where people of all ages grow in their faith, serve one another and those in need, and share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Today, we begin an ambitious effort and ask God to bless Called to Renew, the campaign we are embarking on with every parish in the Archdiocese of Los
Angeles. This campaign will allow us to meet the needs of our parishioners by completing essential capital projects throughout our campus.
The goal for our campaign is $1,125,000, of which 50 percent will be used to address the needs detailed on the following page. We will also retain 100 percent of the funds we collect over our goal.
To reach this goal, we are asking every parish family to make a gift from the heart. Since I am asking you to make this sacrifice, I, as your pastor and a fellow parishioner, will also make a sacrificial pledge. Before you decide on the amount of your gift, please prayerfully consider the generosity God has shown you, and the importance of the mission we have been given.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.

Parish Needs
Church Restrooms
Renovating the church
restrooms will make them
accessible for all parishioners.
Landscaping
The trees on the Astoria Street side are
growing into the roof. Removing these
trees and adding synthetic grass will
create an environmentally friendly and
appealing landscape.
Plumbing
The plumbing in our facilities does not
meet current standards. Replacing the
plumbing will eliminate having to patch
the existing pipes when issues arise.
Exterior Painting
Repainting the exterior of the church and
school is long overdue. The church’s rain
gutters will also be repaired during
the process.
Church Renovation
Restoring our church’s beauty will enhance our liturgy experience. Renovations include a
new altar, tile and wood flooring, and pendant light fixtures. We will also repaint the entire
interior, rewire the sound system, and refinish the choir loft.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
