Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
It is with immense joy and heartfelt gratitude that I announce the launch of our parish capital campaign in conjunction with the Archdiocese’s Called to Renew
effort. This campaign will provide much the needed funding for parishes throughout the Archdiocese, including St. Cecilia.
Each parish has been given a goal for the campaign. Our parish’s goal is $555,000. Fifty percent of all funds we raise up to goal will stay with our parish, and if we go over goal, 100 percent of the funds we collect will remain at St. Cecilia. That means we will keep $277,500 to address our own needs if we work together to meet our goal.
St. Cecilia has a rich history of service in Los Angeles. Called to Renew will allow us to continue to be a vital presence in our community. You will find details about how we plan to use our share of campaign funds on the following page.
As your pastor, I invite you to take a moment in prayer to discern how best you can support this campaign. I also encourage you to consider making a pledge for a five-year period. This will allow us the best opportunity to reach our goal.
This is a wonderful parish and faith community, and I feel very fortunate to be your pastor. I know you will do whatever you can to make this campaign a
success.
We entrust this campaign to the intercessions of Our Blessed Mother and our patroness, St. Cecilia.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.

Parish Needs
Roofing
Our church and rectory feature beautiful mission tile roofing that has now passed its
life expectancy. From time to time, these roofs leak. In addition, the tiles are prone to
loosening in the future if no action is taken. We can no longer put off the inevitable.
Reroofing with new mission tiles will preserve the beauty of our church, protect our
buildings from further damage, and ensure our church continues to be a beacon of
hope, faith, and community.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
