Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
In 1953, when a handful of families, under the leadership of Msgr. Kielty, sacrificed to establish St. Pancratius Church, they also blessed us with a family to build upon and celebrate.
Through God’s grace, we have grown from a small faith community into a welcoming parish of 2000 families. We have created a vibrant, active, and dynamic place for people of all ages to grow in their faith, serve others, and share the Good News as they connect with Christ, one another, and those in need.
We are now launching the Called to Renew campaign alongside every parish in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and ask God to bless this ambitious effort. Our campaign will allow us to address the needs of St. Pancratius, ensuring future generations of parishioners may continue to gather, worship, and create lasting friendships.
The goal for our campaign is $670,000, of which 50% will remain at our parish to address the needs detailed on the following page. We will also retain 100% of the funds we collect over our goal. If our campaign is successful, we will receive a minimum of $335,000 to address our own needs.
I am asking you, and every member of our parish, to make a gift from the heart. As your pastor and fellow parishioner, I will also make a sacrificial pledge. Before you determine your pledge, please prayerfully consider the generosity God has shown you, and the importance of the mission we have been given at St. Pancratius.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.

Parish Needs
Church Interior Renovations
Beauty is an integral and essential part of our Catholic liturgy, and it is indeed a gift from God, as St. Augustine points out. When a church’s beauty is allowed to wither, the liturgy experience suffers. It is time for us to restore the beauty and luster of our church. New wooden flooring and lighting for the sanctuary, as well as the painting of the interior of the church, will help us do just that. We also plan to refurbish the pews in the church and repair the kneelers.
Parish Hall
Centered in the middle of our beautiful campus is Msgr. Kielty Hall. It was built in the 50s and is in dire need of renovation. Upon careful evaluation, we have concluded that if renovated, it would become the perfect gathering place for school, parish, and family ministry events and a source of income should we decide to rent it out. We want to bring the kitchen up to code with proper ventilation and storage. Window repairs, and interior finishes, such as painting and flooring, are necessary for a more functional space in the kitchen and hall area.
Pergola
We were so fortunate to have the donation of tents during the pandemic, but imagine if the tented area had a beautiful pergola with fans, lighting, electrical plugs, and new flooring. It would become a beautiful space for receptions and provide a shaded area for people to congregate.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
