Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
It is with great joy and hope that I announce the launch of the Called to Renew campaign at St. Odilia Parish, in conjunction with the historic effort of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. This campaign will provide much-needed funding for parishes throughout the Archdiocese, including ours.
Each parish has been given a goal for the campaign. Our goal is $185,000, of which 50 percent will remain at our parish. We will also retain 100 percent of the funds that we collect over our goal. If our campaign is successful, we have the opportunity to receive a minimum of $92,500 to address our own needs, of which there are many.
Our parish is approaching 100 years of serving our community, and we want to continue to be an important presence. As you know, our aging church is in need of many repairs and renovations. Called to Renew will allow us to address some of these needs. Details about how we plan to use our share of campaign funds are on the following page.
As your pastor, I invite you to take a moment to prayerfully discern how you can best support this campaign. I also encourage you to consider making a five-year pledge, which will allow us the best opportunity to reach our goal. St. Odilia is a wonderful faith community, and I am very fortunate to be your pastor. I know you will do whatever you can to make this campaign a success.
We entrust this campaign to the intercession of our Blessed Mother.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.

Parish Needs
Church Floor
Installing a new floor will improve the appearance of our church and make it easier to clean. The church floor has served us well for many years, but the tile surrounding the pews continues to crack and break in spots. The flooring between the pews is currently a different material that is beginning to lift, which, in time, could present a safety issue.
Pews and Kneelers
Replacing the pews and kneelers in our church will make our worship experience more comfortable. After many years of use, the pews are cracked and many kneelers are broken or crooked, despite multiple efforts to repair or adjust them.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
