Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
In 1992, when a handful of families sacrificed to establish St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, they also blessed us with a legacy to build upon and celebrate.
Through God’s grace, we have grown from a small faith community into a welcoming parish of almost two thousand families. We have created a vibrant, active and dynamic place for people of all ages to grow in their faith, serve others and share the Good News as they connect with Christ, one another and those in need.
We are now launching the Called to Renew campaign alongside every parish in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and ask God to bless this ambitious effort. Our campaign will allow us to address the needs of parishioners and St. Maximilian Kolbe, ensuring that future generations may continue to gather, worship, and create lasting friendships.
The goal for our campaign is $1,800,000, of which 67 percent will remain at our parish to address the needs detailed on the following page. We will also retain 100 percent of the funds we collect over our goal.
I am asking you, and every member of our parish, to make a gift from the heart. In turn, I, as your pastor and fellow parishioner, will also make a sacrificial pledge. Before you determine your pledge, please prayerfully consider the generosity God has shown you and the importance of the mission we have been given at St. Maximilian Kolbe.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.
Our Parish Receives
To renew our parish and strengthen ministries.
Enhancing Our Worship Experience
Our church is in need of multiple enhancements. Upgrading the interior lighting will allow us to see one another and our worship space better, and updating the sound systems will ensure we are able to hear the Word of God. Refurbishing our pews, including recovering the fabric, repairing the kneelers, and refinishing the wood, will give them new life after 20 years of use. Now that we have upgraded our HVAC controls, installing new HVAC units will better moderate the temperature in the church. Enhancing our excellent music ministry with new instruments, including an electronic organ, will further enrich our worship experience.
Maintaining Our Buildings for Future Generations
While our buildings are relatively new, they require ongoing maintenance. Proceeds from the campaign will ensure we can make future repairs in a timely fashion and maintain the beauty of our welcoming campus. Among the anticipated repairs are repainting the interior of all buildings, replacing the floor coverings, replacing and maintaining our roofs, and resurfacing our parking lots.
