Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
In 1958, when a handful of families sacrificed to establish Saint Martha Parish, they also blessed us with a legacy to build upon and celebrate.
Through God’s grace, we have grown from a small faith community into a welcoming and vibrant parish of 4,500 families. We have created an active and dynamic place for people of all ages to grow in their faith, serve others, and share the Good News as they connect with Christ, one another, and those in need.
We are now launching the Called to Renew campaign alongside every parish in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and ask God to bless this ambitious effort. Our campaign will allow us to address the needs of our parishioners and Saint Martha, ensuring future generations may continue to gather, worship, and create lasting friendships.
The goal for our campaign is $1,015,000, of which 50 percent will remain at our parish to address the needs detailed on the following page. We will also retain 100 percent of the funds we collect over our goal. In other words, if our campaign is successful, we will receive a minimum of $507,500 to address our own needs.
I am asking you, and every member of our parish, to make a gift from the heart. In turn, as your pastor and fellow parishioner, I will also commit to making a sacrificial pledge. Please prayerfully consider the generosity God has shown you and the importance of the mission we have been given at Saint Martha.
Thank you so much in advance for your faithful support.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.

To renew our parish and strengthen ministries.
Parish Needs
Vestibule at the Entrance of the Church
Our much-used church needs a gathering space for the priest and ministers before Mass as well as for wedding parties before they walk down the aisle. Creating a vestibule outside, with a concrete canopy, will protect people from the weather as they wait to enter the church.
Parish Hall and Offices
McNamara Hall is as old as the church and has asbestos in the ceiling, making repairs difficult. Saint Martha needs a state-of-the-art hall that is large enough to accommodate parish offices, ministries, and gatherings and school activities. Planning for a two-story building with offices, a hall, stage, and kitchen will allow us to begin supporting our growing parish.
Pews and Kneelers
Many of our church pews are cracking and several kneelers are broken. Refinishing our pews and repairing the kneelers will provide a more comfortable worship experience.
Church Exterior Painting
The church exterior has not been painted in 35 years. Repainting will allow us to make necessary repairs and protect the exterior from the elements.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
