Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
As an active and faith-filled parishioner, you are aware of the many blessings we have to be grateful for at St. Jane Frances de Chantal. Your family has likely celebrated many rites of passage here, such as Baptism and First Communion. You may have exchanged wedding vows in our church or bid farewell to a loved one in the comfort of your spiritual home. Truly, our parish plays a vital role throughout our lives.
But have you ever stopped to reflect on who is responsible for all we enjoy and use today?
Just as we now benefit from the generosity of those who came before us, we, too, are Called to Renew our Church so future generations can worship and encounter Christ.
I am pleased to announce the launch of our parish’s Called to Renew campaign and invite you to consider God’s many blessings in your life, our parish, and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
Each parish has been given a goal for the campaign. Our goal is $570,000, of which 50 percent will remain at our parish. We will also retain 100 percent of the funds we collect above our goal.
Please take a moment to read on the following page how Called to Renew will benefit our parish, and how we will use our share of campaign funds. I then ask you to prayerfully consider a five-year pledge to the campaign, which will allow us the best opportunity to meet our goal.
This campaign is essential to ensuring our Church is vibrant and healthy, and our parish remains a presence in the lives of parishioners and the community for years to come.
I hope you will join me in supporting Called to Renew.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.
Our Parish Receives
$285,000
To renew our parish and strengthen ministries.
Parish Needs
School Gym
Installing new insulation and a new air conditioning system will better sustain the temperature in our school gym.
Air Conditioning and Heating
At various times of the year, the temperature in the church is uncomfortable. Installing a new HVAC system will improve our worship experience.
Parish Hall Renovations
After more than 60 years of use, the three buildings that comprise our parish hall are in dire need of updates and repairs. Renewing these structures will create a more welcoming environment for new parishioners, new school parents and guests, and members of our parish community who attend ministry meetings.
Church Roof
The roof of our church has sustained water damage throughout the years and now has visible cracks. Replacing the roof at the same time as our HVAC system will protect our worship space from further damage.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
