Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
It is with immense joy and heartfelt gratitude that I announce the launch of Called to Renew at St. Clement Church. This campaign will provide much needed funding for parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, including ours, as well as strengthen important ministries and programs that impact us all.
Each parish has been given a goal for the campaign. Our goal is $75,000, of which 50 percent will remain at our parish. We will also retain 100 percent of the funds we collect over our goal. In other words, if our campaign is successful, we will receive a minimum of $37,500 to address our own needs.
St. Clement Church has a rich history in Santa Monica. Called to Renew will ensure we can continue to be a vital presence in our community. Details about how we plan to use our share of the campaign funds are on the following page.
Please take a moment to prayerfully discern how you can most generously support this campaign. I also encourage you to consider making a five-year pledge, which will allow us the best opportunity to reach our goal. This is a wonderful parish, and I am amazed at how our community always works together to meet needs that arise. I know you will do whatever you can to make this campaign a success.
We entrust our Called to Renew campaign to the intercession of our Blessed Mother and our patron St. Clement.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.

Parish Needs
Refinish Pews
The pews in the Church have been in use for nearly 70 years. Many of the kneelers are broken, and the wood varnish is worn down. Refinishing the pews will bring the luster back for the comfort and safety of our parishioners.
Video Monitors
Installing video monitors in the Church building will allow for a full and rich multi-media worship experience for our congregation.
Restrooms
The restrooms in the Church and parish hall will be upgraded and refurbished to ensure the comfort and accessibility of all our parishioners.
Repainting
The interior and exterior of the Rectory building need a new coat of paint. The exterior of the Church building will also be repainted, bringing new life io our worship space. Finally, we would like to repaint our upper and lower parking lots.
Gates
Our three existing standard gates around our campus will be replaced with new, motorized versions, for security and accessibility.
Accessibility Upgrades
The stairs that connect our Church and parking lot prove a challenge for some parishioners. We would like to improve the accessibility of our campus by installing alternative infrastructure in order to ensure the safety and comfort of all.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
