Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
When a handful of families sacrificed to establish St. Brigid Parish, they also blessed us with a legacy to build upon.
Through God’s grace, we have grown from the small faith community Father John J. Eagan celebrated the first Mass for on Christmas Day 1920 in a small house on West 51st Street into a welcoming parish of 800 families and more than 1,200 parishioners. In the nearly 100 years since, we have created a vibrant, visible, and viable community for people of all ages, cultures, and heritages to grow in their faith, serve others, and share the Good News as they connect with Christ, one another, and those in need.
We are now launching Called to Renew along with every parish in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and ask God to bless this ambitious effort. Our campaign will allow us to address the needs of parishioners and St. Brigid Parish, strengthening our ministries and programs and ensuring future generations may continue to gather, worship, and create lasting friendships.
The goal for our campaign is $335,000, of which 50 percent will remain at our parish to address the needs detailed on the following page. We will also retain 100 percent of the funds we collect over our goal.
I am asking you and every parishioner of St. Brigid to make a gift from the heart. Please take a moment to prayerfully discern how you can most generously support this campaign. I encourage you to consider a five-year pledge, which will allow us the best opportunity to reach our goal.
Thank you in advance for your faithful support. We ask for the intercessions of our Blessed Mother, Blessed St. Joseph, and St. Brigid for a successful campaign.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.

Parish Needs
Parish Hall
Our parish hall is an important gathering space for our ministries and parish groups. Replacing the floor, air conditioning, and soundproofing will ensure street noise does not disrupt meetings and events.
Parking Lots
Our parking lot provides a poor first impression of our campus. Repaving the parking lot with new asphalt will create a safer and more welcoming environment.
Pews and Kneelers
After years of use, many of our pews are cracking and have broken kneelers. Replacing the pews and kneelers will make our worship experience more comfortable.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
