Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
As active and involved parishioners, you are aware of the many blessings we have to be grateful for here at St. Bridget of Sweden. You and your family have celebrated many rites of passage here from baptism to first communion. Some of you exchanged wedding vows in our church. And others have bid farewell to loved ones. The church plays a vital role throughout our lives.
But have you ever stopped to think who built all the buildings which we enjoy and use today?
Just as we have benefited from the generosity of those who have come before us, we too are called to renew our church so that future generations will have a place to worship and encounter God.
I am pleased to inform you that our parish is participating the Called to Renew campaign. This campaign invites each of us to fully consider the many blessings of God in our lives, and in the life of our parishes.
We have been given a goal for our parish campaign, which is
$550,000 50% of this amount will remain with our parish. We also will keep 100% of the funds collected above our goal.
I invite you to take a moment and read the following page and learn how Called to Renew will benefit our parish, and how we will use these funds.
To reach our goal, I am asking you to prayerfully consider a five-year pledge to the campaign. This campaign is important to keeping our church vibrant and healthy. And will ensure that we remain a presence in people’s lives for years to come.
I hope you will join me in supporting Called to Renew.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.

Parish Needs
Church Interior and Exterior Renovations
Beauty is an integral and essential part of our Catholic liturgy. When a church’s beauty is allowed to wither, the liturgy experience suffers. It is time for us to restore some of the beauty and luster to our church with new visual screen technology, modifying the altar area, and re-upholstering the adoration chapel chairs. Rain gutters will be replaced and the uneven concrete ground by the main driveway and rectory will be leveled. An automatic main gate entrance to the church will be installed.
Landscaping
A clean and beautiful landscaping contributes a welcoming atmosphere and beckons visitors to seek a peaceful place. We will add low maintenance plants and decorative stones on the pathway around the church by Gault Street and Whitaker Ave.
Replace Plumbing System
The unending plumbing problem has been a long history of major issues on slow and clogged drains, leaky faucets, and low water pressure. The pipes that connect to the church, rectory, and school located by the main driveway needs significant replacement by separating the parish pipe connections from the school.
Restore Auditorium and Kitchen
The auditorium and kitchen have served students, families, and friends for many years on events, and ceremonial occasions. We will restructure the kitchen and modify the auditorium by improving lighting, replacing tables and chairs, and adding bathrooms.
Rectory
The floor in the rectory will be replaced with long lasting wood flooring.
Parish Center
We strive to provide a welcoming atmosphere in the parish office ensuring smooth and efficient operations. We will invest a portion of our funds to install Plexiglas workstation dividers & modify floor set up for a safe and efficient place for staffs to work. In addition, upgrade the staff kitchen/luncheon area.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
