From the Pastor

Dear Friends in Christ,

During the past several months, I have mentioned the upcoming capital campaign, Called to Renew. As part of this effort, we, the people of God in the Archdiocese, are being asked to refurbish the infrastructure of our local Churches in order to leave both a spiritual and physical legacy to future generations of our faith community. This effort will also provide us with a unique opportunity to improve our own facilities.

In the coming year, St. Basil will celebrate its centennial anniversary of service, growth, and spiritual healing. St. Basil’s goal for this campaign is $290,000, of which $95,000 will be directed to assist in the rebuilding of infrastructure throughout the Archdiocese, and $195,000 will remain here in our parish to facilitate the improvements outlined on the following page. We will also retain 100 percent of all the funds we collect over our goal.

As your pastor and fellow parishioner, I prayerfully invite you to consider making a significant financial pledge in order to achieve our goal. Your contribution may be extended over a period of up to five years. I implore you to take this invitation to be led in the Spirit to help build the Kingdom of God.

Thank you in advance for your faithful support of my ministry as your pastor. It has been my privilege to serve your spiritual needs over these past 14 years. I thank God every day for entrusting St. Basil

to my pastoral care. This community of believers is such a gift, and I entrust each of you to the protection and love of Our Lady, Queen of the Angels as we launch this campaign of rebuilding and renewing our Catholic faith in Los Angeles.
