Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
Welcome home! I am writing to you with immense joy and heartfelt gratitude in announcing the launch of our parish capital campaign in unity with the Archdiocese’s Called to Renew Capital Campaign effort. This campaign will provide much needed funding for parishes throughout the Archdiocese. The campaign will also benefit our parish – St. Lorenzo Ruiz.
Every day I marvel at our sprawling gardens, our church of stone, and the entire expanse of our church grounds. I hear about our ministries and church groups clamoring to use our facilities for their programs and activities. Everywhere I look, at almost any time of the day, there is something going on in this dynamic parish of ours…and I cannot help but say, “What a beautiful thing WE have created here!”
Indeed, we have been blessed. This place is God’s love and mercy for all of us. We have the privilege and opportunity to keep it, nurture it, and strengthen it. With the Blessed Mother as our example, we also have a responsibility to share it. Only then can this place truly be where earth meets heaven. Welcome Home!
Called to Renew, the Archdiocesan Capital Campaign will allow us to continue to be a vital presence in our community by helping us to address some of our most pressing needs. You will find more details about our campaign on the following page. I encourage you to read it.
As your pastor, I invite you to take a moment in prayer to discern how best you can support this campaign. I also encourage you to consider making a pledge for a five-year period. This will allow us the best opportunity to reach our goal. This is a wonderful parish and faith community and I assure you that I am very fortunate to be your pastor. I know that you will do whatever you can to make this campaign a success.
We entrust this campaign to the intercessions of Our Blessed Mother and our patron St. Lorenzo Ruiz.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.

Parish Needs
Youth and Young Adult Ministry
Pope Frances has placed great importance on the need for better youth and young adult ministry, as this is the age when many leave the church. Our youth programs are strong, but we can make them better by enhancing our education, evangelization, retreats, and scholarships for pastoral programming.
Parish Hall
When the new church was completed in 2010, the old church became our parish hall, but we never quite got around to renovating it to serve as a proper hall. Through the Called to Renew campaign we now can install a new kitchen, update the infrastructure, and improve the acoustics in the Hall.
Roofing
The roofs on the Evangelization Center, Rectory, and Parish Office are past their useful life expectancy. Replacing the roofs now will ensure that the buildings remain protected from the elements.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
