Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, receive my brotherly greeting and the many blessings from our Lord Jesus Christ, who has given us the joy of belonging to Presentation of Mary Parish.
I thank God for the opportunity to share my priestly ministry and pastoral service with you and for this lively community of faith, hope, and charity. I find myself often repeating the words of the Psalmist, “What can I offer the Lord for all His goodness to me?”
Our parish has started a renewal process — a renewal of not only our resources, but a pastoral and evangelization renewal as well. You have witnessed the many changes I have been able to make, with your support and generosity, since I began serving here almost four years ago. I now ask that we continue to walk together as part of the Called to Renew campaign. Please do not abandon me in this task our Lord Jesus Christ and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles have entrusted to us.
Each parish has been given a goal for the campaign. Our goal is $260,000, of which 50 percent will remain at our parish. We will also retain 100 percent of the funds we collect over our goal. Details about how we plan to use our share of campaign funds are on the following page.
In 2025, our parish will celebrate its 100th anniversary. I thank God and the Virgin Mary every day for the gift our parish founders left us. I am certain our Called to Renew campaign will be a great success, since you have always been willing to assist Presentation of Mary whenever we have needed your unconditional help.
Remember, my dear brothers and sisters, that we can achieve all things, “for the love of Christ, and with generosity and sacrifice.”
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.
Our Parish Receives
$130,000
To renew our parish and strengthen ministries.
Parish Needs
Exterior Plaza
Our courtyard’s broken and cracked tiles take away from its beauty and functionality. Replacing these tiles and protecting all 13,000 square feet of flooring will renew our exterior plaza and ensure our community can grow and socialize in this important gathering space for years to come.
Parking Lot
Our parking lot is too small for our worship community and has an uneven surface. Purchasing two properties will allow us to expand the parking lot and repair the existing surface, creating a safer and more welcoming environment for those attending Sunday Mass and religious education.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
