Youth / Young Adult Center

Expanding the San Juan Capistrano Youth and Young Adult Center will provide our young people with a dedicated space for after school and work gatherings, Sunday Confi rmation lunches, small and large groups sessions, and Bible studies. The center will include homework carrels, safe access to Wi-Fi and technology, restrooms, and space for secure outdoor gatherings, all under the attentive eye of Brett, our youth minister.

Music and Liturgy Ministry Office

Providing a new choir room for our three choirs, cantors, and musicians will allow them rehearsal space during the week, a quiet practice place on Saturday evening, and an area where they can prepare and rehearse for Mass on Sunday mornings. Instruments and sheet music will be securely stored in this room, which will also have ample workspace for arranging the complex binders our instrumentalists and singers use. Its proximity to the church’s choir space will facilitate movement before and after liturgies. Situating a new offi ce for our Music and Liturgy Ministry next to the rehearsal space will free up much-needed offi ce space in the reception corridor, where fi ve staff members currently occupy two small offices.

A Bold Plan of Renewal

We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
