Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
It is with immense joy and heartfelt gratitude that I announce the launch of Called to Renew at Our Lady of Victory. This campaign will provide much-needed funding for parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, including ours, and strengthen important ministries and programs that impact us all.
Each parish has been given a goal for the campaign. Our goal is $230,000, of which 50 percent will remain at our parish. We will also retain 100 percent of the funds we collect over our goal. In other words, if our campaign is successful, we will receive a minimum of $115,000 to address our own needs. Details about how we plan to use our share of the campaign funds are on the following page.
I am reminded of St. Francis of Assisi, who our Lord Jesus spoke to as he was praying in front of the crucifix of St. Damiano. “Francisco, go and repair my Church, which you see is all in ruins,” Christ directed, and San Francisco began rebuilding the destroyed temples. With the help of the Holy Spirit and his spiritual director, he began to rebuild the true temple, the living stones that were the baptized congregation. Today, with your generous material and spiritual participation, we will follow San Francisco’s example. Our parish community will rebuild both the material temple and the spiritual temple as a community that reflects the image of Jesus Christ as well as His love, His grace, and His holiness.
Please take a moment to prayerfully discern how you can most generously support this campaign. I also encourage you to consider making a five-year pledge, which will allow us the best opportunity to reach our goal.
Let us serve God in one same spirit, in obedience, and in the love of Christ. Thank you in advance for your faithful support.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.

Parish Needs
Personal Prayer Space
Building a new chapel to house the tabernacle will encourage personal prayer in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. This chapel will be visible from inside the church and accessible from both the church and the outside for Eucharistic adoration.
Church Interior
Renovating and beautifying the church will highlight its importance to our community. Projects will include upgrading materials, finishes, lighting, and audio/visual systems so our worship space reflects this rich community of faith.
Gathering Plaza
Building a gathering plaza will create a hospitality element at the center of our community where we can bring Christ to others. This plaza will welcome passersby to join our parish, direct all to the church for worship, and connect our social and formation spaces.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
