To renew our parish and strengthen ministries.
During Mass we celebrate the Liturgy of the Word, and the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Sometimes it is difficult to hear either part of the Mass due to the inferior quality of our sound system. We will install a new sound system to improve the quality of sound during Mass. The microphones on the altar and music area will also be updated.
Lighting has become a focal point of the visual aspect of our church; therefore we plan to improve lighting while also saving energy and maintenance costs. With many families live streaming and expanding their video capabilities, it is important that the church be sufficiently illuminated.
Beauty is an integral and essential part of our Catholic liturgy. When a church’s beauty is allowed to wither, the liturgy experience suffers. It is time for us to restore some of the beauty and luster to our church by cleaning and polishing the Terrazzo on the floor and church sanctuary.
Upgrading our church restrooms can provide easier access, improved hygiene, and lower operating costs for our parish community. As part of the upgrades, our parish will paint the restrooms, tile the floors, replace washbasins and toilets.
Our parish and school kitchen is an important part of our parish community. Our community kitchen is used for parish and school events that provide fellowship opportunities that connect our families. With the use of Called to Renew funds, we will remodel the kitchen by upgrading the sinks, cabinets, flooring, lighting, and painting for our growing parish and school community.
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.

Embracing our mission to be a community of praise, worship, and witness, Called to Renew recognizes the vital role of parishes in the day-to- day life of a vibrant Church and is dedicated to meeting their needs.
As Christians, we are called to meet the spiritual and temporal needs of others. Called to Renew provides us with an extraordinary opportunity to expand and enhance our ministries to the most vulnerable among us, so we may walk with the sick and dying as well as with the victims and perpetrators of violent crimes and their families.
The future of our Church is strengthened when men hear and answer the Lord’s call to serve as his shepherds. The Archdiocese is committed to vocations and the formation of our seminarians and clergy, so they may minister with joyful hearts in the years ahead.
Our mission to live in greater communion with God and the Church is carried out through our parish and diocesan schools, religious education and faith formation programs, and our presence on college campuses throughout Southern California.
