Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
Beloved Parishioners of Our Lady of Perpetual Help,
Our parish and school have endowed us with wonderful spiritual blessings. Many of us have received the sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation. Others have exchanged wedding vows and some have bid farewell to a loved one here in the comfort of our spiritual home. Our parish plays a vital role throughout our lives.
Just as we now benefit from the generosity of those who came before us, we, too, are “called to renew” our Church to ensure future generations can encounter Christ and have a conducive place to worship and receive a Catholic education.
Therefore, I am pleased to announce the launch of our parish’s Called to Renew campaign and invite you to consider God’s many blessings in your life, our parish, and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
The goal for our campaign is $1,860,000 over five years, of which 67 percent or $1,255,000 will remain with our parish. We will retain 100 percent of all funds raised above the goal — a blessing for Our Lady of Perpetual Help. If our campaign is successful, we will receive a minimum of $1,255,000 to address our own specific needs.
Please take a moment to read about the ways Called to Renew will benefit Our Lady of Perpetual Help and how campaign funds will benefit evangelization, our school, and parish ministries. I then ask you to prayerfully consider a five-year pledge, which will allow us the best opportunity to reach our goal.
I hope you will join me in supporting this historic campaign, and I thank you for your faithful support of our parish.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.

Parish Needs
Church Renovations
The roof on the church has now exceeded its life expectancy and repairing sections is no longer cost-efficient. Replacing the roof will prevent future damage to the church. Painting the interior of the church will restore its luster and enrich our worship experience.
Pastoral Center
Our parish center is in need of renovations. Remodeling the kitchen will make it more functional. Replacing the vents will supply us with fresh and clean air. We will also replace the concrete and drains.
School Exterior
Our school parking lot needs to be resurfaced and the grading and drainage repaired. We will install a fixed canopy for our school children to have lunch. Furthermore, we will fix the sprinklers, re-sod the field, and replace the front fence.
School Interior
We are proud of our new multipurpose room, but the current furniture is outdated. We will add flexible seating, tables, and storage cabinets that will be more conducive to this space. Additionally, we will replace the plumbing and remodel the school restrooms, with new fixtures, new flooring, and new stalls. We will also remodel the faculty lounge by replacing the sink, flooring, ceiling, and furniture, as well as renovate the restrooms. Finally, we will install air conditioning in the gym.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
