Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
As an active and faith-filled parishioner, you are aware of the many blessings we have to be grateful for at La Purísima Concepción. Your family has likely celebrated many rites of passage here, such as Baptism and first Communion. You may have exchanged wedding vows in our church or bid farewell to a loved one in the comfort of your spiritual home. Truly, our parish plays a vital role throughout our lives.
But have you ever stopped to reflect on who is responsible for all we enjoy and use today?
Just as we now benefit from the generosity of those who came before us, we too are called to renew our Church to ensure future generations can worship and encounter Christ.
I am pleased to announce the launch of our parish’s Called to Renew campaign and invite you to consider God’s many blessings in your life, our parish, and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
Each parish has been given a goal for the campaign. Our goal is $515,000, of which 50 percent will remain at our parish. We will also retain 100 percent of the funds we collect over our goal.
Please take a moment to read the following page and see how Called to Renew will benefit La Purísima Concepción, and how we will use our share of campaign funds. I then ask you to prayerfully consider a five-year
pledge to the campaign, which will allow us the best opportunity to reach our goal.
I realize this request is significant but trust your commitment to our parish, the Lompoc community, and our Catholic faith will guide you to make a sacrificial gift. Called to Renew is essential to ensuring our church is vibrant and healthy, and our parish remains a presence in the lives of parishioners and the community for years to come. I hope you will join me in supporting this historic campaign. Just the love is worthy of faith.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.

Parish Needs
Adoration Chapel
Our job is to unite our community in worship and fellowship. We have asked our parishioners for the needs they see and want in our parish. An Adoration Chapel and refurbishment of our restrooms are necessary. Our church is central to the practice of our faith. We need a quiet room near the sanctuary where our parishioners can come in prayer with Our Blessed Sacrament. Our restrooms also need to become ADL compliant. This project will enhance and update our church, provide prayer space for our people, and bring our church up to code.
Religious Education Center
We do not have enough rooms to hold all our religious education programs. Improved and updated school facilities are needed to create a more effective and welcoming space for our religious education programs. By creating a new Religious Education Center, we will be able to serve our increased enrollments in all our programs. Learning our faith is at the core of our church in meeting the growing needs of our parish.
Kitchen & Parish Hall
Our parish hall was the building of our original church. We now use it for Parish activities and programs. The kitchen needs renovation, and the hall needs new paint and flooring. By upgrading this building, we will be able to provide improved hospitality for our parish groups and their activities.
Parking Lot
The parking lot utilized for the church, church activities, and school is in dire need of resurfacing. There are potholes throughout the parking lot. Being able to upgrade our parking area would be beneficial for the entire parish.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
