Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
As an active and faith-filled parishioner, you are aware of the many blessings we have to be grateful for at Holy Family Church. Your family has likely celebrated many Rites of Passage here, such as Baptism and First Communion. You may have exchanged Wedding vows or bid farewell to a loved one in the comfort of your spiritual home. Truly, our parish plays a vital role throughout our lives.
But have you ever stopped to reflect on who is responsible for all we enjoy and use today?
Just as we now benefit from the generosity of those who came before us, we, too, are called to renew our Church to ensure future generations can worship and encounter Christ.
It is with immense joy and heartfelt gratitude that I announce the launch of Called to Renew at our Parish. Holy Family has a rich history in Wilmington and Called to Renew will ensure we can continue to be a vital presence in our community.
Each parish has been given a goal for the Campaign. Our goal is $895,000 of which 50 percent will remain at our parish. We will also retain 100 percent of the funds we collect over our goal.
Please take a moment to read the following page and see how Called to Renew will benefit Holy Family, and how we will use our share of the campaign funds. I then ask you to prayerfully consider a five-year pledge to the campaign, which will allow us the best opportunity to reach our goal.
I realize this request is significant but trust your commitment to our parish, the Wilmington community, and our Catholic faith will guide you to make a sacrificial gift. Called to Renew is essential to ensuring our church is vibrant and healthy, and our parish remains a presence in the lives of parishioners and the community for years to come.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.

Parish Needs
Church Restoration
Being that the Church is our main place of worship, we are always looking for ways to improve where we gather. This restoration will include renovating our stained-glass windows, Church and Parish Hall doors, updating our old sound system and purchasing a new organ. These minor adjustments will help enrich our Liturgy celebrations.
Parking Lots
The parking lots are the first impression that people have of our Parish. Unfortunately, they are worn and require much needed maintenance. With Called to Renew funds, we plan to resurface the parish lots, install new automatic gates and update fencing. As part of this renovation project, we will install a new door system for the priest garage.
Church & School Restrooms
Our restrooms are in much need of repair and make over. Completely renovating the restrooms will make them accessible and more welcoming to all parishioners.
HVAC for Church & School
Our current AC system is too small for our Church building. Installing a new and larger HVAC system will cool and heat the space more efficiently and make our worship more comfortable. We also plan to provide a similar system in the school to enhance our gathering spaces.
School Building Restoration
Our school is currently being utilized for Catechism and Parish Life. Due to many years of wear and tear, our school is in much need of a complete make over. This restoration will include roofing, new windows, fixing structural issues, painting and fencing to provide an enhanced a safe learning environment for our youth and parishioners.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
