Our community is excited to participate alongside all parishes, missions and Catholic centers in the Archdiocese to strengthen and renew our Church for the future. Please continue reading to learn how this campaign will benefit us.
In 1982, when a handful of families sacrificed to establish Holy Cross, they also blessed us with a legacy to build upon and celebrate.
Through God’s grace, we have grown from a small faith community into a welcoming parish of nearly 3,000 families. We created a vibrant, active, and dynamic space for people for all ages to grow in their faith, serve others, and share the Gospel as they connect with Our Lord, one another, and those in need.
We are now launching Called to Renew alongside every parish in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and ask God to bless this ambitious effort. This campaign will allow Holy Cross to address the major needs of our buildings and parking lot, ensuring an environment where future generations may continue to gather, worship, and create lasting friendships.
The goal for our campaign is $1 million, of which 54 percent will remain in our parish to address the needs detailed on the following page. We will also retain 100 percent of the funds we collect over our goal.
I am asking you and every member of our parish to make a gift from the heart. Please prayerfully reflect on the generosity God has shown you and the importance of the mission we have been given at Holy Cross. Then consider how you may be a partner in this campaign through your sacrificial pledge.
Pledged over 5 years for the Called to Renew Campaign.

Parish Needs
Air Conditioning & Heating
Our heating and air conditioning systems no longer effectively moderate the temperature in our buildings during the warmest months of the year. In particular, our church is a sealed building that requires a functioning HVAC system to provide fresh air year-round, and we have already replaced one HVAC unit. Replacing the other two units in the church and the systems in the hall and office building will make experiences on our campus more comfortable.
Office Building
Our office building is outdated. Completely renovating the interior with new carpeting, ceiling, walls, furniture, doors, and a kitchen will provide more welcoming and better functioning meeting and office space for visitors and parishioners. We will also redo the sprinkler system, install a new phone system, and replace the roof.
Parking Lot
Our parking lot provides a poor first impression of our campus. The cracks and shifts in elevation are due to its age and ground movement because of its location on a hillside. Removing the old surface and repaving the parking lot will create a safer and more welcoming environment.
A Bold Plan of Renewal
We — the Catholic faithful — are the agents of renewal for Church and society. I am grateful for this opportunity to walk alongside clergy and parishioners in strengthening our parishes and ministries, the heart of our Archdiocese.
