Beatitudes of Our Lord

Dear Friends in Christ,

As a beloved member of the Beatitudes of Our Lord Catholic family, you are aware of our many blessings and challenges, especially during the past two years. The church flooding was one more challenge. But we have shown ourselves to be resilient and faithful, for that I shall forever be grateful. We continued to celebrate the precious Sacraments of our faith, under a tent, with restricted numbers, now in the original church, our Hall; but we adapt, grow and support each other, in good times and in bad. That is what a family does.

I ask you to pause and reflect on how our response today will build on the faith and good works of those who came before us. As we now benefit from their generosity, we, too, are “called to renew” our Parish to ensure future generations can encounter and celebrate Christ.

I am pleased to announce the launch of our Called to Renew campaign. The goal for our parish is $825,000 (68 percent will remain in the parish and the remaining 32 percent will go to support Ministries to the Sick and Dying, Restorative Justice Ministries, Seminary Vocations, Evangelization on college Campuses, Catechetical programs, and poor parishes). If our campaign is successful, we will receive a minimum of $562,500 to address our own needs. And, we will retain 100 percent of the funds we collect over our goal. 

After consulting our Parish Finance Council, Next Generation Envisioning Team, Parish, School, and Staff members we will use these funds as outlined in the Case for Support on the following page.

Please take a moment to read how Called to Renew will benefit Beatitudes of Our Lord, and how we will use our share of campaign funds. I then ask you to prayerfully consider a five-year pledge to the campaign, which will allow us the best opportunity to reach our goal. 

I realize this request is significant but trust that your commitment to our parish and our faith will guide you to make a sacrificial gift. I hope you will join me in supporting this historic campaign. I truly believe that is what a family does.
